Last week, Lenovo's subsidiary Motorola confirmed to launch the new Moto X Force phone on 1 February in India.
The Moto X Force launch event will kick off at 3:30 pm IST, Gurgaon, wherein the company is expected to reveal the device's price and availability details.
The company has opened the official YouTube channel to stream live event online so that the fans can watch the programme on PC and smartphones [HERE or watch it below the story].
Since Moto X Force aka Droid Turbo 2 has already been released in the US and Europe, specifications of the device is in the public domain.
For the uninitiated, the main USP of Moto X Force is its rugged shatterproof display, which is said to be the most durable protective screen gear in the smartphone industry.
It boasts the company's proprietary 'Moto ShatterShield' display technology. It is made of five layers -- Aluminium chassis to form the rigid core, flexible AMOLED screen, two layered touchscreen panels, interior lens to provide clear visibility of contents, and exterior lens to provide additional protection -- so that the phone's display is capable of absorbing shock from the impact and is guaranteed not to shatter, says the company.
At the back (of base model), it ships with the ballistic nylon (metalised glass fiber) cover that offers a distinctive design while providing ultimate durability. Also, underneath this coating, Moto X Force features Kevlar, a material known to be five times stronger than steel.
The shatterproof display technology of Moto X Force is parallel to none in the smartphone industry. Numerous tests conducted by almost all blogs have shown impressive results. Tech blog UnblockRiver.com did an insane 300 feet drone drop-test on Moto X Force. To everyone's surprise, the Motorola device amazing survived and was completely intact despite falling on a concrete floor from such a high altitude.
The only part damaged was the screen's tiny top left corner of display, which took the direct impact of the fall and yet the phone was fully operational. [Check out the video, HERE]
