The V9 Roamer and V9 Bobber from the Piaggio group will be launched in India this month. The Italian manufacturer had showcased the V9 Roamer and V9 Bobber motorcycles from its Moto Guzzi brand at Auto Expo 2016.
Both the motorcycles will be launched in India as CBU (completely built units) line across Piaggio Motoplex showrooms, reports Autocar India. Moto Guzzi has already started the booking process for both the motorcycles for a token amount of Rs. 5 lakh. The V9 Roamer and V9 Bobber are expected to be priced at Rs. 13.3 lakh and Rs. 13.4 lakh ex-showroom, respectively.
Both the motorcycles are powered by a 850cc V-twin air- and oil-cooled engine that produces 54bhp of power at 6,250rpm and peak torque of 62Nm at 3,000rpm mated to a six-speed gearbox. The power is channelled to the rear wheel through a new double-joint drive shaft.
In terms of design, both motorcycles come with a similar layout. The Roamer runs on a 19-inch wheel at the front and a 16-inch wheel at the rear while the Bobber has 16-inch wheels at both ends.
The bikes have an all-metal built, including the fenders and side covers. The V9 series comes loaded with features such as two-channel ABS, traction control with two different settings, immobiliser and USB port near the instrument panel for connecting external devices.
