It's been more than three months since Lenovo's Motorola released Android Nougat to Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus, but there was word on when the company will roll out new OS update to low-end version Moto G4 Play until now.
Lenovo PR has confirmed (via email) to Android Authority that the company is expected to deploy Android Nougat to Moto G4 Play in June.
It's been a long wait for the device owners, but they have to consider themselves lucky, because Moto E3 Power users, who despite having a newer device as compared to the former, will not be able to experience the Nougat features.
The latter's internal hardware limitation is said to be reason for Motorola to skip the device from the list of Android Nougat-eligible devices.
Android Nougat brings multi-window options, night mode, bundled notification, improved security update, enhanced battery optimisation, and several other value-added features to enhance user experience.
