Update:

Motorola India (via Twitter) has announced that the Android Nougat update has not been released to Moto G4 and G4 Plus in India.

The confusion over the Nougat update released to Moto G4 series was caused by the company's official blog, which read-- "We are excited to announce a new software update for Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus by Motorola. This update brings Android 7.0 Nougat to your phone along with other improvements," and showed a tuturial on how to install update via OTA (Over-The-Air). This post was supposed to go live only when the update roll-out commences, but due to high handedness of blog administrator, many were mislead to believe that the Nougat roll-out has commenced in India.

Furthermore, earlier in the week, Motorola commenced Android Nougat soak test on Moto G4 Plus in Brazil, which convinced many that the roll-out in India was indeed official.

With the official announcement, Motorola Moto G4, G4 Plus owners have no choice, but to wait a few more weeks to experience the new features of Android Nougat.
