Motorola has finally ended the wait by rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA (over-the-air) update to its Moto G (2nd Gen) devices in India.
The new firmware update came more than two weeks after David Schuster, senior director of software product management, Motorola, announced on Google+ the company had started soak test for LTE and 3G-only models of Moto G (2nd Gen) in India and Brazil.
The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update has come to both 3G and LTE-enabled variants of Moto G (2nd Gen) in India, according to a report by GSMArena. However, it is still not known if the firmware has been rolled out to the device is Brazil.
Moto G (2nd Gen), which came running Android 4.4.4 KitKat, got upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop earlier last year. It will skip the Android 5.1 Lollipop update and receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update directly instead.
