Last month, Lenovo-owned Motorola launched the 2016 series Moto E3 with sub-par features in the United Kingdom. Now a more powerful model has made its unofficial debut in Asia.
Before Lenovo could announce the new device, a retailer in Hong Kong has started selling the Moto E3 Power. As the name suggests, its USP is the battery capacity. It houses a massive 3,500mAh cell, 700mAh more than the original model. The new Moto E3 variant also boasts a 10W quick charger as well, which is missed in all phones under the budget category.
Other upgrades include dual-SIM slots, 16GB inbuilt storage and 2GB RAM. The rest of the features, such as display, processor OS, and the camera hardware remain the same.
Moto E3 Power sports a 5.0-inch HD IPS screen and comes with Android Marshmallow OS, MediaTek quad-core CPU, 8MP primary camera with LED flash and a 5MP front snapper.
Moto E3 Power price details:
The new Moto E3 Power is being sold for HKD 1,098 (roughly $142/€125/Rs. 9,488) in black colour option, PlayfulDroid reported.
Will Moto E3 Power debut in India?
Yes. Lenovo has launched the Moto G4 series in the mid-range (Rs. 10,000-Rs.15,000), but it lacks a device in the sub-Rs.10,000 category. This is where Moto E Power comes into play, as it perfectly fits the bill. With feature-rich hardware, it is certain to find traction in a price-sensitive market like India.
