Motorola has slashed the price of its Moto 360 smartwatch in wake of booming interest in wearables among consumers.
The price drop makes the round-dial smartwatch more appealing to consumers. As per the product listing on Flipkart website, the Moto 360 costs ₹12,999, which is ₹5,000 cheaper than its original pricing. In addition, the metal band variant of the smartwatch is also available at a discounted of ₹14,999 price.
Flipkart hasn't mentioned any end date for the offer price, but says the cost of the Moto 360 will remain until the stocks last. This new move makes Moto 360 a strong contender against the likes of various smartwatches from brands like Samsung, Apple, LG and others.
Motorola launched its first smartwatch last year, sporting a 1.56-inch backlit LCD display with 320x290p resolution. Moto 360 offers various functions such as heart rate sensor and a heart activity tracker app, built-in pedometer and a wide range of watch faces to give the smartwatch a unique look. It is one of the hottest smartwatches available in the market and garnered a global attraction for its incredible design.
Buyers can choose from grey or black Horween leather bands or go for a much premium look with a light of dark stainless steel case. Powered by Android Wear OS, the smartwatch can be paired with an Android smartphone running Android 4.3 and above. There is a 320mAh battery, 4GB onboard storage and Bluetooth 4.0 LE.
Inside the box, Moto 360 comes with a wireless charging dock, which charges the smartwatch by placing the dial into the socket.
