In anticipation of Mortal Kombat X's April 2015 release, a new rumour has hinted at the possibility of players seeing Erron Black as a new fighter character, joining the likes of Scorpion and Sub-Zero in the game's roster.
The rumour arose from the introduction of a new character called Erron Black in the Mortal Kombat X comic books that DC Comics is publishing and this particular comic book in question is issue #4, reported LazyGamer.
The report also carries an image of Erron Black, who is standing next to confirmed Mortal Kombat X characters like Kotal Khan and D'vorah. So this clearly hints that he could be one of the bad guys. The picture shows him talking to Cassie Cage and the body language suggests he is a mean fighter who does not think it is worth facing her to give answers to her questions. He is being introduced as a "deadliest warrior" and could be Khan's henchman.
Since Black has been featured in the comic book there are all reasons for us to believe he will be playable character in Mortal Kombat X.
Recently, Ed Boon, creator had said that he would be revealing many new Mortal Kombat X characters. So Black could be featured in one such reveal according to other reports.
Black is seen having a holster and bullets strapped around his body, like one of the Wild West. This could mean he might use weapons like guns in his fights.
One Redditor suggested that Black could be one of the ninja's that Boon had promised, since he has a facemask similar to the ones that is worn by Scorpion, Smoke, Sub Zero and Noob Saibot.
We can only wait to see if this rumour stands when Boon reveals the roster characters for the game. However, in the previous week, two new fighter characters have been revealed - Ermac and Reptile, and before this Boon revealed Kung Lao and Kitana as part of the roster.
