Tata Motors is expected to launch a new powerful version of is Safari Storme in India in the coming days. Ahead of its expected launch, more details about the new Safari Storme have been leaked on the web, painting a clear picture of what to expect from this new upgrade of the SUV.
According to the leaked technical specifications of new Safari Storme, the powerful version of the SUV will also come powered by the same Varicor 400 engine 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine seen in the current model. The engine is re-tuned to churn out 154bhp of power @ 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque @ 1,750-2,500 rpm. This engine version will available only in the top-end VX variants of the model. The upcoming Safari Storme can accelerate from stationary to 60 kph in 5.2 seconds and 0-100 in 12.8 seconds, reports Team BHP.
In terms of style and design, there will not be any changes and the new car will feature reverse parking display, six-speaker audio, LCD screen, controls on the steering wheel and a remote control for rear passengers.
