Maruti Suzuki is believed to be in the final stage of developing its new premium hatchback Baleno, which is scheduled to break its cover at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show this week (15-27 September).
Ahead of its 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show debut, a member at The Automotive India Forum shared a fresh lot of images of Suzuki Baleno aka YRA, this time showing the interior of the model. From the images, the spotted prototype of Baleno aka YRA is believed to be the top-end version with features like projector headlamps with LED and alloys.
Global hatchback Suzuki Baleno is expected to make its India debut during the festive season this year, possibly in November. The model will be sold through Maruti's new premium dealerships Nexa and is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 7.5 to 9 lakh.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno aka YRA, which will be pitched against Hyundai Elite i20, Volkswagen Polo and Fiat Punto Evo, measures 4,023mm in length, 1,920mm in width and 1,450mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,520 mm.
Under the hood, Baleno will pack the company's newly developed 1.0-litre Boosterjet direct injection turbocharged petrol engine. Rumours also have it that the power plant of YRA will also include 1.2-litre and 1.4-litre K-Series petrol engines and the familiar 1.3-litre DDiS 200 diesel engine.
