With the global unveil of new gen Toyota Innova just around the corner, more images of the model have hit the web, this time showing the seating arrangement and safety features of the model in detail.
The latest set of images of the new Toyota Innova come from Ascomaxx.com and in the images, the MPV shows the interior of the cabin. The Innova, known as Kijang Innova in Indonesia, is expected to make its global debut on 23 November and is likely to be offered in Q, V and G trims.
Judging by the images, the Q trim as reported earlier comes with a host of safety features and will offer 7 airbags (dual front+ side+ curtain+ driver knee). The pictures show the captain seat configuration in the second raw and can also see table tray. From what we hear, the base variant of Innova will get bench-type seating arrangement in the second raw.
Under the hood, the new Innova in Indonesia is expected to get GD 2.4-litre diesel engine developing 147bhp and 359Nm of torque, and is expected to come coupled to the five-speed manual gearbox. The diesel engine will also be available with automatic transmission which then will generate a torque of 342.2Nm, while the power remains the same. In the petrol variants, the Innova will come powered by the in-line four-cylinder 2000cc petrol engine that can churn out 137bhp and 183Nm of torque either with manual or automatic transmissions.
The new Innova, which will also house changes in the exterior, is expected to get big hexagonal grille with two thick chrome slats, dual-projector headlamps with integrated LED daytime-running lamps, new rear lamps, newly designed quarter-glass and alloy wheels.
