Moonlight Drawn By Clouds, the popular South Korean period drama which is also known as Love In The Moonlight, is likely to be back onscreen with season 2, as speculations suggest that KBS is in talks with its lead cast members, Park Bo Gum and Kim Yoo Jung, for contract renewal.
Unlike SBS series Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, the mini-series managed to garner an average of 16.9 percent viewership ratings in the country and it was very popular in other parts of the globe also. So the followers of the show do not really find any reasons for its cancellation.
The historical drama even helped its cast members to increase their popularity in and across Korea. While the 23-year-old Hello Monster actor received several high profile endorsement deals from multi-national companies, like Coca Cola and Domino's Pizza, his co-star is gearing up for her first fan meeting in Singapore, which will be held in May.

After Moonlight Drawn By Clouds successfully completed its 18 episodes run in October, both the cast members were really busy with several fan meetings at various places and they have apparently not signed in for any new drama projects. So their fans are really hoping to see them back onscreens as Lee Yeong and Hong Ra-on.
Meanwhile, the dating rumours about the 17-year-old actress and her co-star will reportedly help the historical drama to increase its viewership ratings in the next installement, according to Kpopstarz.
However, the Reply 1988 star Bo Gum and his onscreen partner Yoo Jung have already denied speculations about their romance. "Right now, we are enjoying the closest oppa-dongseng relationship there is," the actor said.
In a similar vein, Yoo Jung also stated that her Moonlight Drawn By Clouds co-star is just like a elder brother to her. "Park Bo Gum oppa is really good to me. We're like siblings. Before we started production, we wanted to get close to each other so we did script readings together and went out to eat, but it felt awkward. When filming started, becoming closer happened naturally as we went through the difficulties together," Soompi qoted the actress.
So the followers of the KBS historical drama will have to wait for any official confirmation from the network about the renewal of the show for any details about season 2.
