Titan Company and global luxury brand Maison Montblanc will open five Montblanc boutiques in India in the coming three months, paving the way for the Montblanc's re-entry into India.
The company's earlier venture with cricketer-turned-entrepreneur Dilip Doshi's Entrack Trading Company failed to click. Montblanc terminated its distribution and franchise agreements with Doshi's company in September 2014.
The stores will come up in Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Pune, showcasing the latest collection of "expertly crafted, sought-after timepieces, writing instruments, jewellery and leather products," said Titan in a statement on Thursday.
The first boutique will open on 3 December in Mumbai.
"We are delighted to partner with Titan in India. This is a market that presents exceptional opportunity for Montblanc, and our expansion strategy will certainly help serve our strong and loyal client base here," said Nicolas Baretzki, Executive Vice-President, Sales, Montblanc International.
Titan said the venture will enable its customers to experience a "unique luxury experience".
"This association will help us bring to our large and loyal Customer base a unique luxury experience. With Titan's strong position and Montblanc's iconic, luxury offering across its portfolio, there is no doubt that the Maison's appeal and success will only continue to grow," said Bhaskar Bhat, Managing Director of Titan Company Limited.
