Barring the initial slump, Hrithik Roshan's career has shaped up pretty well. And having delivered back-to-back blockbusters like "Krrish 3" and "Bang Bang", every director wants him on the date book.
While the superstar confirmed a few days ago that he is only concentrating on Ashutosh Gowariker's "Mohenjo Daro", reports have surfaced that he has been signed for Yash Raj Films' slick action thriller.
"Dhoom has been done. Now, there needs to be another series that sends the audiences pulse racing. The film that Adi has planned with Hrithik, will be turned into a franchise film in the future. But unlike Dhoom, this will have only Hrithik as the central character in its sequels as well, like a Dabangg and Krrish," DNA quoted a source as saying.
The film, to be reportedly spearheaded by "Dhoom 3" director Vijay Krishna Acharya, will apparently be turned into a franchise featuring fierce action sequences. The insider further elaborated that it would be made on lavish budget adding stunt experts from Hollywood would be hired to design scenes.
"Hrithik has always been one of the fittest actors but with this slick action thriller, he is expected to follow a strict workout regimen and achieve a particular body shape -- one which people have never seen him in before," added the source.
In other news, the suave actor is busy giving "Mohenjo Daro" his all, albeit with a little care. He has been taking measured steps after undergoing a surgery for a brain clot from a head injury. Recently, while shooting on of the scenes for the period drama, he reportedly refused to jump from one point to another as he feared it would hurt him physically.
"Mohenjo Daro" is slated for a 12 August, 2016 release.
