Fans of "Mohenjo Daro" star Hrithik Roshan might not have to wait long to watch their favourite actor groove onscreen.
According to a Deccan Chronicle report, the suave star will feature in a Yo Yo Honey Singh video soon. The rapper-composer has recreated "Dheere Dheere Se" song from "Aashiqui" on Bhushan Kumar's (owner of popular music label) insistence. The film completes 25 years this year.
Singh has rewritten the lyrics to suit the modern day's taste and has wrapped up the new version while recovering from his illness. Bhushan then went to Roshan, who was his first choice for the single.
"I made him listen to the song without telling him the purpose for which I was making it. He loved it, but didn't see the reason why he should dance to an old recreated song, given that Hrithik has never ever been part of a single song video. I then told Hrithik my reasons for making it and within a second he said, 'I am doing it for Gulshanji. That will be my only reason to dance to it," Bhushan further elaborated.
The video is made without keeping any monetary gains in mind. Both Roshan and Singh are doing it for free as it's a tribute to Bhushan's father, Gulshan Kumar. However, if the video happens to make any money, the proceeds will go to charity.
"Papa gave me the Aashiqui cassette and told me, 'Listen to this. This is from our film.' I started hearing it and till today, that album remains on my playlist. I remember him telling me that his most favourite song ever was 'Dheere Dheere Se'. Papa died in 1997," Bhushan added.
