Hrithik Roshan could have a tough time (in terms of box office performance) this year. The suave star's period drama "Mohenjo Daro" will not only be competing with Akshay Kumar's "Rustom" but also lock horns with "Hera Pheri 3".
According to Catch News, Eros International has locked 12 August as the release date for the Abhishek Bachchan-John Abraham starrer "Hera Pheri 3." Directed by Neeraj Vora, the third instalment also stars Paresh Rawal in a key role.
This could put the Ashutosh Gowariker directorial in soup considering the fact that the above-mentioned film has the potential to do well as it belongs to a very successful franchise and features Bachchan and Abraham, who have their fare share of fan following.
Clashes are disastrous and best avoided. Case in point: the much-talked about "Dilwale" and "Bajirao Mastani" box office battle. Although both films earned decent money and performed well, they could have done way better had the makers decided to reschedule their release dates.
"Raees" and "Sultan" are two other films which may go head to head at the BO. While SRK said they could shift the dates as everyone working on the sports-drama is his friend, there have been reports which hint at the clash. "Shivaay" and "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" are reportedly two other films releasing on the same date.
In other news, Hrithik has apparently signed his father's next and and another YRF project. Akshay is currently enjoying a dream run at box office with "Airlift".
