Ashutosh Gowariker's much ambitious film "Mohenjo Daro" starring Hrithik Roshan has been creating huge buzz ever since the project was conceived.
While it is known that the film is a love story that dates back to 26th century BC and has some powerful stunts performed by Hrithik, not much was known regarding the plot of the period drama until now.
However, it has now been learnt that the story of "Mohenjo Daro" revolves around young orphaned child (played by Hrithik), who resides with his uncle close to the areas of Mohenjo Daro.
"When he learns that there's a fair in Mohenjo Daro, he sneaks out of his house and joins the fair with the ambition of becoming a trader. There he meets Pooja Hegde's character and its love at first sight," a source close to the unit told Mumbai Mirror.
While the story sounds simple, the twist in the plot is that the honey-eyed actor's ladylove (played by Pooja) turns out to Kabir Bedi's daughter, who was responsible for the death of Hrithik's father. The period love story then turns into a revenge drama.
Further, the action sequences of "Mohenjo Daro" are said to be along the lines of Hollywood standards. Glen Boswell, who choreographed stunts for films like "The Matrix", is training the "Bang Bang" star for some power-packed stunts.
"Mohenjo Daro" is said to be the director's mega project with a massive budget and will hit theatres on 12 August, 2016.
