Hrithik Roshan's rustic avatar in "Mohenjo Daro" has impressed millions; the ever-increasing hits the trailer has garnered on YouTube is a proof of that. The makers are now set to release the first song of the film.
Titled "Tu Hai," the romantic number has been sung and composed by music maestro A. R. Rahman, IANS reported. The track will be out in July.
"This is my fifth collaboration with Rahman after my TV show Everest. It has been a rewarding experience as we both got the chance to enter an entirely different space and time," director Ashutosh Gowariker told the news agency.
The hype around "Mohenjo Daro" is massive and the reasons are several. We have listed a few below:
Hrithik hasn't had a release since "Bang Bang," which hit the theatres on Oct. 2, 2014. That's a long time to be away from films, especially for one of the most-loved screen actors. However, he did work on a music video (produced by T-Series) alongside Sonam Kapoor, which went on to become a major hit on YouTube.
It is the director-actor duo's second film after "Jodhaa Akbar." Also starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the period-drama was received well by both the critics and audiences. Right from the clothes to the architecture, the creative team got most of their details right.
Hrithik romancing newbie Pooja Hegde is another reason why the thrill level is high with this one. From what has been reported so far, the onscreen couple has shot a lovemaking scene, stretching well over a few minutes, in a cave.
"Mohenjo Daro" is scheduled to open in theatres on Aug.12, same day as Akshay Kumar's "Rustom."
