Villain — superstar Mohanlal's next big Malayalam project is indeed a biggie for its ensemble cast, including Tamil actors Vishal, Hansika Motwani, and Telugu actors Srikanth and Raashi Khanna, who are making their grand debut in Mollywood. The makers of the B Unnikrishnan-directorial finally released the official teaser of the crime thriller on Thursday, April 27.
The one-minute-10-second video, shared by Mohanlal using Facebook feature crossposting, features Mohanlal, Srikanth, Raashi, Renji Panicker, Siddique, Manju Warrier and is sure to raise the expectations of the audience.
Villain, which marks the reunion of Unnikrishnan and Mohanlal after the duo's notable films Grandmaster and Mr Fraud, has been making headlines ever since the project was announced. Soon, the superstar was also spotted in a different salt-and-pepper avatar that has also impressed the audience. While the versatile actor plays as a retired police officer, Manju will be seen opposite him in the film, bankrolled by producer Rockline Venkatesh.
National award winning stunt choreographer Peter Hein of Pulimurugan-fame will be handling the action sequences in Villain, which is set to become the first Indian film to be completely filmed and released in 8K resolution.
Recently, rumours had it that Bollywood actress Sunny Leone would be shaking a leg for an item dance in Mohanlal-starrer for Rs 5 crore. However, after the news went viral on social media, the movie's director clarified them to be fake. "I am eager to know more about this item dance. I hope I will be informed soon [translated from Malayalam]," Unnikrishnan had then written on his Facebook page.
