It has to be noted that Mohanlal has a good market in the region with the release of the superstar's recent movies Manamantha and Janatha Garage. Among them, Janatha Garage has already become one of the biggest grossers in Telugu and Mohanlal was well appreciated for his performance in the action thriller, which also stars Junior NTR in the lead role.
Pulimurugan is said to have collected approximately Rs 55 crore from Kerala box office, with an earning of Rs 2.95 crore in 27 days from the six multiplexes in Kochi alone. It has broken the collection records of Nivin Pauly's Jacobinte Swargarajyam (Rs. 2.94 crore), multi-starrer Bangalore Days (Rs 2.87 crore) and Nivin's Premam (Rs 2.75 crore). The film has also crossed Rs 1.5 crore mark at Ariesplex in Thiruvananthapuram.
Meanwhile, after breaking the records of Drishyam, Premam and other biggest grossing movies, Pulimurugan has been scheduled to hit the screens all over UAE and GCC on November 3 and in the UK and Europe on November 4. Just like the Kerala box office, the movie is also expected to make good business at the overseas box office and trade analysts expect it to be the first Malayalam movie to cross Rs 100 crore mark from the worldwide screens.
