With Chandra Sekhar Yeleti's multi-lingual family entertainer "Manamantha" (titled "Vismayam" in Malayalam and "Namadhu" in Tamil), superstar Mohanlal is all set to make a mark in the Telugu entertainment industry after 36 years of his acting career in Malayalam.
Interestingly, the superstar himself dubs for his portions in all the versions of the movie, which is scheduled to hit the screens on Aug. 5. Now, the makers of "Manamantha" have released a special video of Mohanlal, in which the versatile actor, who has won four National Film Awards, is heard speaking in Telugu, announcing about his debut in Tollywood.
"Namaskar to all Telugu audience. My name is Mohanlal. After a long time, I heard a good story and that's 'Manamantha.' I have learned Telugu for the movie and even dubbed my portions in it. I hope you will like the film [translated from Telugu]," Mohanlal is heard saying in the video.
The upcoming movie also stars Gauthami, Viswant, Raina Rao, Anisha Ambrose, Urvashi, Nassar, Gollapudi Maruthi Rao, Vennela Kishore, Parachuri Venkateswara Rao, Dhanraj, Praveen, Naveen Neni, Harshavardhan, Ayyapa and P Sharma in significant roles.
Mohanlal, who has also won as many as nine Kerala State Film Awards and eight Kerala Film Critics Awards, among many others, enjoys a huge fan following in the state having being acted in more than 300 films. Apart from "Manamantha," the 56-year-old star has Koratala Siva's bilingual (Telugu and Malayalam) movie "Janatha Garage" to be released on Sept. 2. The action thriller also stars Telugu superstar Junior NTR, Malayalam actors Unni Mukundan and Rahman in the main roles.
