Malayalam superstar Mohanlal met with an accident on 28 January, while he was on his way to the sets of his upcoming movie "Pulimurugan" in Illithode in Malayatoor, Kerala.
The actor miraculously escaped after the car, in which he was travelling, was hit by a speeding tipper on Thursday morning, reported Manorama Online. However, the actor has not sustained any injury.
This is not the first time an accident has been reported from the sets of "Pulimurugan". A few months ago, the makers of "Pulimurugan" had released a video from the shooting location that showed director Vysakh having a narrow escape during a risky car chase rehearsal. It happened when the filmmaker was giving directions to the driver during the rehearsal.
Mohanlal has met with accidents many times before during the shooting of his movies. In 2011, the actor escaped with minor injuries during a bike stunt on the sets of "Casanovva" as the motorcycle skidded off during the shoot. Even during the filming of Tamil movie "Jilla" in 2013, Mohanlal escaped when a box of firecrackers burst during the shoot of movie's intro song and five crew members were hurt in the accident.
The upcoming action thriller "Pulimurugan", directed by Vysakh, is one of the most awaited projects of the year. The movie is expected to hit the screens during Vishu season. "Pulimurugan" also has Kamalini Mukherjee, Jagapati Babu, Bala, Vinu Mohan, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Kishore in pivotal roles.
Recently, the actor was in the news for celebrating the 16th anniversary of his blockbuster Shaji Kailas movie "Narasimham" on the sets of "Pulimurugan".
