Superstar Mohanlal has shared the title launch video of his upcoming movie Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol on Wednesday November 16. "Let us all together unwrap the first layer of my Christmas Gift. Watch now the official Title of Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol [sic]," the actor posted on his Facebook page.
A day before unveiling the video, the superstar had shared the news via his social media page, promising his fans that the Christmas season will be special for them with the release of the family entertainer. "This Christmas the wine will taste sweeter and the love for your dear one will shine bright like a star. Watch out tomorrow at 6PM for the Title launch of my Christmas release Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol Directed by Jibu Jacob and Produced by Sophia Paul under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters [sic]," the superstar wrote on Facebook.
Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol, which marks the reunion of Mohanlal with Meena after the blockbuster movie Drishyam, is one of the most awaited movies of the year. The movie, which was earlier scheduled to hit the screens as a Diwali release in November, was postponed to December as the superstar's crime thriller Oppam and action thriller Pulimurugan were making tremendous collection at the worldwide box office.
The upcoming family movie, helmed by Jibu Jacob of Vellimoonga-fame, stars Anoop Menon, Alencier Ley, Kalabhavan Shajon, Aima Rosmy Sebastian, Sanoop Santhosh, Neha Saxena, Bindu Panicker, Srinda Arhaan, Veena Nair, Nedumudi Venu, Aju Varghese, Suraj Venjaramood and Sudheer Karamana in pivotal roles.
Weekend Blockbusters, owned by Sophia Paul, bankrolls Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol, which has been scheduled to hit the screens on December 22, locking horns with the other Christmas releases like Mammootty The Great Father, Dulquer Salmaan's Jomonte Suvisheshangal and Prithviraj Sukumaran's Ezra, among others.
