Superstar Mohanlal is awaiting the release of his bilingual movie "Janatha Garage." The Koratala Siva directorial is the second release of the superstar this year after the multi-lingual family entertainer "Vismayam," which opened to a mixed response from the audience.

The Telugu movie, "Janatha Garage" is expected to be one of the biggest releases among the dubbed Malayalam movies in the state. Mohanlal, who has acquired the distribution rights of the action thriller in Kerala, is expected to release the highly anticipated movie in more than 200 screens in the state on the opening day itself. It has to be noted that his previous outing "Vismayam," helmed by Chandra Shekhar Yeleti, was released in only 100 screens in Kerala on Aug. 5.

Rumours also suggest that the Telugu version of the thriller will be released in Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Calicut.

"Janatha Garage," which also stars Junior NTR in the lead role is a special movie for the Kerala audience as it also has Malayalam actors Unni Mukundan, Rahman, Nithya Menen and Sithara in significant roles. It also boosts an ensemble cast, including Saikumar, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Devayani, while Kajal Aggarwal appears in a cameo role, for an item song in it. 

"Janatha Garage," said to be made on a budget of Rs 40 crore, has been bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. The movie will have a grand, opening day release, worldwide on Sept. 1, even though the makers had earlier announced Sept. 2 as its release date.
