Superstar Mohanlal joined the sets of veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan's upcoming Malayalam movie "Oppam" Saturday, March 5. The actor revealed the news via social media.
"Good Morning, Started my day at the sets of 'Oppam,' my new Malayalam movie with Priyan," Mohanlal posted on his Facebook page Saturday. Some photos of the actor from the shooting location of the Priyadarshan directorial have also been doing the rounds on social media.

The upcoming Mohanlal-starrer is one of the most anticipated movies of the year as it marks the comeback of the actor-director duo who has delivered many blockbusters in Malayalam. However, their last movie "Geethanjali" couldn't make a mark at the box office. Priyadarshan has been going through a dull phase in his career with most of his films opening to an average response.
Reports suggest that the superstar will be seen in the role of a blind man in the crime thriller, which will be mainly shot in Ooty and Kochi. Actress Vimala Raman, who was last seen with the superstar in the 2008 film "College Kumaran" is set to make her comeback to acting with "Oppam."

South Indian actress Sanchita Shetty, who performed with Mohanlal during the recently-concluded Asianet Film Awards 2016, is also expected to do play a key role in the upcoming movie. The movie has been written by Govind and is being produced under the banner of Aashirwad Cinemas by Antony Perumbavoor.
The hit movies of Mohanlal and Priyadarshan are "Poochakkoru Mookkuthi," "Aram + Aram = Kinnaram," "Onnanam Kunnil Oradi Kunnil," "Boeing Boeing," "Mazha Peyyunnu Maddalam Kottunnu," "Hello My Dear Wrong Number," "Thalavattam," "Cheppu," "Mukunthetta Sumitra Vilikkunnu," "Vellanakalude Nadu," "Chithram," "Vandanam," "Kilukkam," "Abhimanyu," "Mithunam,"Thenmavin Kombath," "Minnaram," "Kalapani," "Chandralekha," and their last hit movie was "Kilichundan Mampazham" released in 2003. If "Oppam" will make a notable comeback of the duo is something we need to wait and see.
