Mohanlal's Telugu movie "Manamantha" ("Vismayam" in Malayalam and "Namadhu" in Tamil), is set to become the first release of the superstar in 2016. The actor has revealed the release date of the Chandra Sekhar Yeleti-directed movie, which also stars Gauthami in the lead role.
The family entertainer, which also stars Viswant, Raina Rao and Anisha Ambrose in main roles, will be released on August 5. "Vismayam / Manamantha / Namadhu releasing on August 5th," Mohanlal posted on his Facebook page.
Earlier, after the trilingual movie's teaser was released, "Baahubali" director SS Rajamouli had requested the makers to announce the release date of the Mohanlal-starrer. "Combination of Chandu & Vaaraahi is promising, interesting and intriguing. Been waiting for long and can't any longer..Thank you both for bringing an actor I admire so much, Mohanlal garu to Telugu...Release date please.....:) [sic]," Rajamouli had then written on social media while sharing the official teaser of "Manamantha."

The upcoming family entertainer "Manamantha"/ "Vismayam" / "Namadhu" narrates the incidents that happen in the lives of four people at different phases — childhood, youth and adulthood. Mohanlal plays a middle-class man, who works as an assistant manager in a supermarket. The actor himself has dubbed his portions in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam versions of the film.
The trilingual movie also stars Nassar, Urvashi, Parachuri Venkateshwara Rao, Gollapudi Maruthi Rao, Vennala Kishore, Dhanraj, Naveen Neni, Praveen, Ayyapa P Sharma and Harshavardhan in pivotal roles. "Manamantha" is being produced by Sai Korrapati under the banner of Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal also has another Telugu action thriller — "Janatha Garage" in his kitty for the year. The Koratala Siva-directed movie, which also stars Junior NTR, Rahman and Unni Mukundan in main roles, has been scheduled to hit the screens on Sept. 2. With two back-to-back Telugu movies, the Malayalam superstar is expected to make a mark in the Tollywood film industry.
