Veteran actor Mohan Babu, who made his acting debut with "Kannavari Kalalu" in 1974, has recently completed 40 years in the film industry and "Yamaleela 2" team felicitated the actor for his contribution to the Telugu film industry for four decades.
Dr Mohan Babu hogged the limelight with Dasari Narayana Rao's 1975 film, "Swargam Narakam". He has played lead roles in more than 500 feature films in his 40-year career. Apart from an actor, he is a well-known director, producer and philanthropist.
In a statement to the media, Mohan Babu thanked all his admirers, who supported him all through his career.
"I must thank all those people who were around me and supported me during these 40 years. But in the course of my journey I have realised that it is important to listen and understand what the audience expects from you every time you face the camera," said the actor.
His fans were impressed with his performances in recent releases, "Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda" and "Rowdy".
"I have been also open to learning throughout my career. My recent film with Vishnu Manchu and Ram Gopal Varma "Rowdy" is a step in that direction. I also believe in the exchange of knowledge between young and old," added the actor.
"Rowdy", which has got tremendous response at the box office, has been one of the blockbuster films of the actor. His aggressive performance was the key factor for the film's huge success.
Mohan Babu will be next seen in a pivotal role in the film, "Yamaleela 2". The film's music, composed by SV Krishna Reddy, has become a big hit. The makers held a success meet in Hyderabad on Friday and producer Dil Raju attended the event as special guest.
