Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with the who's who of China's business sector, including Jack Ma of Alibaba and Lin Bin of Xiaomi, two of China's biggest companies.
Twenty one deals worth $22 billion were signed at the business forum in Shanghai on Saturday..
"I have come to say to you Make in India," Modi told the 22 Chinese CEOs present.
Modi's 'Make in India' pitch seemed to resonate with the Chinese honchos, going by their responses.
Here's what the CEOs had to tell Modi -
We are excited about India. We are excited about Make in India and Digital India," Jack Ma told Modi.
We have some big plans for India, We fully support Make in India," Lin Bin, president of Xiaomi, told the Indian PM.
Harbin Electric would like to bring more light to India, take advantage of Make in India," Zou Lei, the CEO of the company, said.
We are full of hope about India, which offers a dynamic work force and huge market," Liang Wengen, Chairman SANY, said.
