ABC will not air "Modern Family" season 6 episode 18 titled "Spring Break" on 18 March. However, it will be available for viewers to watch at 9.00 pm (EST) on 25 March, Wednesday.
The "Spring Break" episode, which will be aired after a short break, will show how the Dunphy's celebrate spring, and how the Pritchetts kick off their addictions. Meanwhile, the two sisters who are usually at odds ends with each other, will be seen spending some quality time together.
Although, from the beginning of "Modern Family" and until very recently, Haley (Sarah Hyland) and her younger and smarter sister Alex (Ariel Winter) could not agree on anything, they are growing closer as they are growing older. In "Spring Break", the elder sister will be seen taking Alex out on a music festival to distract her from worrying about colleges.
Meanwhile, their mother Claire (Julie Bowen) is busy cleaning everything in the house, as part of her spring cleaning ritual. Busying herself with chores is what keeps Claire happy; however her husband is apparently going through a middle-age crisis.
Phil (Ty Burrell), who loves spending time with his like-minded son Luke (Nolam Gould), is coming to realise that he is not the "spring chicken" he used to be, when he sees Luke outshining him in seemingly everything. Will Phil do something that is characteristically impractical or foolish to prove his youth, or will he graciously accept his body's growth and be happy for his son?
A wager comes in to play at the Pritchett household, after Gloria (Sofia Vergara) and Jay (Ed O'Neill) challenge each other to kick off each other's addictions. Jay, who declared he could stay away from smoking cigars, tags along with his son Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson). As Mitchell goes to pick his daughter Lily (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons), Jay tries to sneak in a smoke.
Meanwhile, his wife Gloria tries to project the drama in Spanish soap operas – which she agreed to not watch – onto Cam's (Eric Stonestreet) rivalry with Senor Kaplan.
Watch out for season 6 episode 18 "Spring Break" of "Modern Family" on ABC at 9.00 pm (EST) on Wednesday 25 March.
