Salman Khan has been trained by international Mixed Martial Arts trainers for the movie "Sultan." The same trainers have worked with Hollywood action stars like Sylvester Stallone and Jean-Claude Van Damme and said that Salman has been more dedicated than even his Hollywood counterparts.
Director of "Sultan," Ali Abbas Zafar said that the international trainers were initially doubtful about working with Salman for his reported "starry tantrums," but were later extremely happy to see the actor's dedication on the sets.
"My team of MMA trainers had a lot of apprehensions about working with Salman Khan but after they trained him for two and half months, they came to me one day and said that he was just too good," Catch News quoted Ali as saying.
The report also quoted the director saying that the trainers compared Salman with Sylvester and Van Damme, and told him: "Salman was more dedicated than them." The latest video of the title track of "Sultan" showed Salman lifting heavy weights and showing off his athletic side.
Salman indeed has beefed up to a great extent and had earlier said that he will be seen lifting up real-life wrestlers on his shoulders in the movie. While the "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" actor will portray the character of a wrestler from Haryana in the film, it also features Anushka Sharma as a female wrestler. She will be seen as the actor's love interest in the movie.
The sports drama is one of the most awaited flicks of this year and stars Randeep Hooda and Amit Sadh too in key roles. Produced by Yash Raj Films, "Sultan" is slated to be released on July 6.
