Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Select Plus comes with cosmetic additions and extra equipment as opposed to the standard SUV model, reports Autocar. In line with the newly introduced dual-tone colours, the Select Plus comes with black roof and pillars. The black colour touches further extended to wheel arches, door mouldings, front bumper guard and front grille. To add more sportiness, the alloy wheels are finished in black and it contrasts perfectly against the body colour. New variant also has chrome finishes on the exterior at door handles and on the rear view mirror caps.
The Pajero Sport Select Plus comes with LED daytime running lamps (DRLs) on fog lamp housing and HID headlamps in place of halogen projectors on the regular Pajero Sport. The new equipment list includes cruise control, electric folding wing mirrors, a cool box, DVD players mounted in the front seat's headrests, beige leather seats and leather-wrapped steering wheel.
There are no changes under the hood. The SUV is powered by a 2.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine that develops 176bhp at 4,000rpm and 350Nm of torque at 1,800-3,500rpm.
Mitsubishi India's revival mission
Mitsubishi India is currently in a pursuit to build a new SUV line-up. The Japanese brand has been offering only Pajero Sport SUV for a while in India. Last November, Mitsubishi relaunched flagship Montero SUV. Emerging reports suggest the Outlander SUV is also set to return to Indian market and some dealers have already started accepting bookings for the new SUV.
