The title of "Mistresses" Season 3 episode 10, "What Could Have Been", refers to Joss' predicament in prison. The episode will focus on Joss' life in prison, and fittingly, she reflects on her past as she is confined within four walls. Will Joss' life go downhill from here?
The fans of the show would remember that Joss was arrested in connection to Calista's (Jennifer Esposito) husband's death. In the promo for "What Could Have Been", Joss is seen confiding in her cellmate. She spills the details of her relationships and is seen ridden by guilt for choosing Harry (Brett Tucker) over Scott (Justin Hartley).
It seems like Joss' storyline will continue for the rest of the season. However, it remains to be seen if she finds an escape from her prison cell. Perhaps a piece of evidence could help her?
The synopsis for "What Could Have Been" hints at some relief for Joss. We will most likely see Harry trying to help his girlfriend. He enlists the services of Daniel (Ricky Whittle), the FBI agent who has a tape that might help Joss. However, it still isn't clear if this piece of evidence could actually help her.
In episode 10, the sub plots will focus on Karen (Yunjin Kim). After a wild night with Alec (Ed Quinn), she finds herself pregnant. Karen's decision to talk about it indicates that she might keep the baby. Nevertheless, Alec and his wife Vivian (Sonja Bennett) may not want to be part of it and it could turn out to be a very lonely pregnancy for Karen.
This week's episode is most likely an indicator of how tougher life is going to get for Joss and Karen. But, we hope it doesn't.
