Mumbai-based Nehal Chudasama, who will represent India in Miss Universe 2018 contest, has revealed her plans post the beauty pageant.
Unlike most other Indian beauty contest winners, Nehal said that she has no plan to enter Bollywood, but aims to crack Indian civil services examination.
"I will look forward to being in Indian Civil Services so that is what I am aiming for right now after my pageant. No Bollywood plans as of now," IANS quoted Nehal as saying.
Nehal had won the Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva Miss Universe 2018 title to become the representative of India at Miss Universe 2018 that will be held at Bangkok in December.
Talking about the struggles that she had to face to reach this stage, Nehal said that her father initially did not approve her decision to enter the world of modelling, but now he is proud of her.
"I am from a Gujarati family, so modelling is not quite very usual. I am the first girl from family to do this. Besides that, it was really difficult for me to be here because I lost my mother when I was 13 and convincing my father has been really difficult for me. But now since I have been here, he is quite convinced and proud about that," she said.
Saying that she hopes to bring back the title of Miss Universe to India, which did not happen since 18 years, Nehal said that her biggest inspiration has been Lara Dutta. Lara was the second Indian to win Miss Universe title after Sushmita Sen.
"Each and every representative that we had in all these years has been an inspiration because they had an edge over every other woman but I would say that my mentor Lara Dutta has been the greatest inspiration," Nehal added.
