The 86 contestants, in the 62nd edition of Miss Universe competition, walked the ramp in costumes representing their country in the National Costume round on 3 November in Moscow, Russia.
The contestants represented national pride and identity by walking the ramp in their colourful and gorgeous costumes. The National Costume round is one of the most awaited and talked-about events of the beauty pageant.
Miss India Manasi Moghe presented the Princess of Ladakh at the National Costume round on Sunday. The costume comprising of red lehenga and choli was designed by JADE: Monica & Karishma and was inspired by the Gompas of Ladakh, from the Himalayan Highlands in India, according to the official Facebook page of Manasi Moghe.
But it was Miss USA Erin Brady who stole the attention of everyone when she walked the runway in a plastic "Transformers" costume. Brady dazzled in red, white and blue, representing Optimus Prime, as she walked the ramp.
However, Miss Philippines Ariella Arida, one of the hot favourite contestants, disappointed her fans when she wore a terno and walked the ramp. The cream colour terno was designed by by Colombian designer Alfredo Barazza.
Miss Great Britain, Amy Willerton, who according to leaked preliminary scores is at the top position, wore a royal robe and walked the runway.
