The coronation night of the 13th edition of the annual Miss Earth beauty contest is just hours away and it will soon be announced which country will serve as the ambassador to environmental protection campaigns worldwide.
The 89 contestants from across the world are competing for the crown and the title of Miss Earth 2013. Miss Earth 2012 Tereza Fajksová from Czech Republic will pass on her crown to this year's winner.
The final will take place on 7 December at the Versailles Palace in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Philippines. The grand finale will be broadcast live on Star World at 8 pm PHT (5.30 pm IST).
For India, Philippines and other Asian countries the event will be broadcast live on Fox Network's Star World.

The finale night will be co-hosted by actor Oli Pettigrew and model Linda Black, according to the official website of Miss Earth.
Pettigrew is a British actor, model, and award winning television host. He is known for hosting Cash Cab Asia, Sony Style, Lonely Planet Six Degrees China and Epad on Max.
Black is fashion model and television host and is best known for hosting HBO Signature's Friday Picture House and Discovery Channel Asia's Cathay Pacific on the Move.
Carousel Productions, Inc launched the beauty pageant in 2001 with the aim to help and promote environment. The present edition will promote "The International Year of Water Cooperation."
India's representative to the beauty contest is Ponds Femina Miss India Earth Sobhita Dhulipala. The 20-year-old has emerged as one of the strongest contender and has won the Miss Photogenic title and Eco-beauty title.
