Organisers of the 13th edition of the Miss Earth beauty pageant on Wednesday announced the winners of its two competition rounds - swimsuit and photogenic.
The Miss Earth organisation has announced Miss India Earth Sobhita Dhulipala as winner of the Miss Photogenic competition at the pageant.
The 20-year-old bagged a gold medal with 8,465 votes followed by Miss Macau Ashley Qian who received a silver medal with 8,082 votes and Miss Philippines Angelee delos Reyes who won a bronze medal with 4796 votes, according to the official Facebook page of the pageant.
"3rd Indian after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Diana Hayden to ever win miss photogenic on an international platform. After 16 years. Overjoyed and thankful to each and every one of you," Sobhita said on her Facebook page.
Apart from the Miss Photogenic award, the organisation also declared winners of the swimsuit round.
The final swimsuit round was held on 3 December at F1 Hotel Manila, Philippines. The top 15 semi-finalists walked in swimwear at the F1 Poolside.
Miss Ukraine Anatasia Sukh was announced as winner of the swimsuit round on Wednesday. Sukh bagged the gold medal; Miss Brazil Priscilla Martins won the silver and Miss Venezuela Alyz Henrich received a bronze medal.
Miss Earth aims to work towards the protection of environment. The present edition of the competition is lined up with "The International Year of Water Cooperation." The winner of the 13th edition of the contest will serve as ambassador to environmental protection campaigns worldwide.
The winner will be announced on the grand finale night of Miss Earth pageant that will take place on 7 December at the Versailles Palace in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Philippines.
