Indian beauty Srishti Rana was crowned Miss Asia Pacific World 2013 by last year's winner Himangini Singh Yadu, in Korea on Wednesday.
The 21-year-old is the second consecutive winner from India to win the Miss Asia Pacific World title, after Himangini Singh.
Rana beat 49 other contestants to the title, in a glittering ceremony held in Busan. She wore a nude colour mermaid style gown for the finale. She also won the Best National costume award.
"This is a dream come true! I am very proud of myself right now and still can't believe that I have won the crown. I have a long list of people to thank for their support but to name a few; I would want to thank God, my family, friends, Mr. Vineet Jain- MD Times Group and the Miss India Organization for their endless support. This wouldn't have been possible without any of them. I am so delighted at this moment," Rana said after winning the title, according to The Times of India.
Miriam George from Egypt was the runner-up, while Evgenia Klishina from Kazakhstan came third in the beauty pageant.
Rana, born in Haryana, was the finalist of Femina Miss India 2013.
This is the fifth time India has won the Miss Asia Pacific World crown. Yesteryear actress Zeenat Aman was the first Indian contestant to win the coveted crown in 1970, followed by Tara Anne Fonseca in 1973.
In 2000, actress Dia Mirza was announced the winner, and in 2012 Himangini Singh won the title.
