The finale of the Miss Amazon 2015 beauty pageant took a dramatic turn when the first runner-up tried to snatch the crown from the winner.
Carolina Toledo was crowned Miss Amazon 2015 on Friday night. But Toledo's crowing ceremony didn't go down well with the first runner-up Sheislane Hayalla.
The 23-year-old Hayalla pulled the crown off from Toledo's head and threw it to the ground and ripped off the tiara. Hayalla also accused and insulted her before leaving the stage.
The organisers of the beauty pageant rushed on the stage to pick the crown and put it back on the winner's head.
On Saturday, Hayalla said that Toledo didn't deserved to be the winner, and she brought the crown. "Money talks in Manaus and I wanted to show the Amazon people money doesn't talk here," Hayalla insisted, according to Daily Mail.
She took to Facebook page to clarify that she wants something clean and honest.
"I fought a lot for all the achievements I have in my life , I do not accept injustice and never let something go unpunished. I expressed my disapproval to the attitudes that were seen during the preparation of MISS AMAZON 2015 and I do not regret protesting during the competition."
"I want something CLEAN and HONEST ! I am Sheislane hayalla and my attitude does not diminish or make me less miss, I'm human , blood flows in my veins and AM NOT HYPOCRITE," she added.
The whole incident was caught on camera by the viewers. Several videos of the crowning moments were shared on social media, which went viral on Monday morning.
