Shakti Soundar Rajan, who is basking in the success of "Miruthan," seems to be getting ready for a biggie and his next project could possibly star an A-list Tamil actor. The filmmaker might reportedly work with none other than Suriya.
A report on Behindwoods says that Shakti Soundar Rajan recently met Suriya and the director narrated a story to the actor. If things fall into place, the duo is likely to work together for the first time.
The report says that the "Ghajini" actor is yet to give a green signal to the project and more on the film will be out in the coming days.
Suriya has always been passionate about doing a variety of films and often opts for challenging roles, while Shakti Soundar Rajan is known for experimental films. Hence, fans of the actor and director wish they could collaborate for a movie.
Currently, Suriya has two movies in his kitty. His next release is science-fiction "24," which is written and directed by Vikram Kumar. The Tamil movie, which has Samantha and Nithya Menen in the female leads, will release in April.
Suriya is also filming "S3," which is the third instalment in the "Singam" franchise. The shooting of the Hari directorial movie is rapidly progressing as the makers want to release the film for Diwali. The actor has to wrap up these two films before taking up Shakti Soundar Rajan's flick. His proposed project with Gautham Menon is not taking off for now and the director has gone ahead with Dhanush starrer "Yennai Nokki Paayum Thotta."
Meanwhile, Shakti Soundar Rajan's "Miruthan," which stars Jayam Ravi and Lakshmi Menon in the leads, has opened to positive reviews and managed to win the appreciation from critics as well as audience. The film is credited as the first Zombie movie made in Kollywood.
Shakti Soundar Rajan had earlier directed films like "Naanayam" and "Naaigal Jaakirathai."
