"Kumki" actress Lakshmi Menon has become a familiar face for Tamil and Malayalam audience. The actress, who had earlier joined for a degree course in Kochi, is rumoured to have quit the college owing to her busy schedule.
The authorities at Sacred Heart college in Kochi has reportedly warned the actress for not attending the classes. Lakshmi, who had joined for BA English Literature course, is now said to be pursuing her studies through a correspondence course.
Lakshmi was last seen in Shakti Soundar Rajan's science fiction zombie thriller "Miruthan," in which she was seen opposite Jayam Ravi. The movie was opened to a good response from the audience and made decent business at the box office. The actress will be next seen in Rathina Shiva's "Rekka" opposite Vijay Sethupathi. The actress had recently shared the photoshoot images of the upcoming movie on her Facebook page.
Lakshmi, who made her acting debut in Malayalam, established herself in Kollywood and even won the Vikatan Award For Best Debut Actress for her performance in M Sasikumar-starrer "Sundarapandian" in 2012. Following this, she became part of hit movies "Kumki," "Naan Sigappu Manithan," "Jigarthanda," "Komban" and "Vedalam." Lakshmi also made a notable performance in Dileep-starrer "Avatharam" in 2014.
