Newlywed couple actor Ram Charan Teja and Upasana Kamineni, who entered wedlock in two lavish wedding ceremonies in Hyderabad last week, are all set to take off for a brief cozy honeymoon.
The couple left for Tirupathi Balaji on Saturday, June 16, a day ahead of the reception and later visited Upasna's grandfather's native place, Aragonda in Andhra Pradesh.
Now that almost all ceremonies are over, the duo may leave for a short honeymoon sometime between June 19 to 20, after taking a much-needed four days break.
Well, unlike other stars, this new couple has no fancy plans of a steamy big fat honeymoon trip at the moment. Instead, they are keen on relishing some brief private time amid the nature, somewhere in India.
Though the destination has not been disclosed, the duo is likely to go to a calm, serene place in the country itself. Ram Charan told the reporters before the wedding that they will have to cut short the honeymoon trip due to time constraints as his dates are packed and has to return early and resume the shooting of his upcoming films.
"Just a four-day break. We're yet to decide where we're going. But it will be somewhere quiet with no traffic or shopping. It has to be in India since I've to return in four days and resume shooting," the "Magadheera" star said in an interview.
Their fairy tale marriage was certainly the most talked-about and the biggest wedding of the year.
Ram Charan Teja is the only son of Telugu superstar-turned-politician Chiranjeevi. He has two sisters, Srija and Sushmita. While, Upasna is the eldest daughter of a corporate hospital tycoon Anil Kamieni and granddaughter of Pratap C Reddy of Apollo hospitals.
Hence, several Bollywood bigwigs, politicians and socialites graced the lavish ceremony on both the days. The couple married twice - one for the family and the other for friends and fans.
Nearly 5000 people attended the big fat Indian wedding on each day.
Several prominent people from entertainment industry including superstars like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Prabhu Deva, actor Rana Daggubati, actress Tabu, filmmaker Boney Kapoor and wife Sridevi, South Indian actor Venkatesh, Mohan Babu and Ambreesh were on the high-profile guest list.
Among the politicians, Andhra Pradesh Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, Tamil Nadu Governor K. Rosaiah, Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and several others attended the ceremony.
