Bringing a cheer among players of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, Microsoft Studios and Mojang have announced that the brands are joining forces with Marvel to bring Avengers into the addictive building blocks indie game. Together the companies will be bringing an Avengers Skin pack into the game.
Skins of 35 Marvel superhero characters will be provided that will include Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Nick Fury, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Loki, Wasp, Falcon, Vision, Maria Hill, Agent Coulson and others.
Though the price of the skin pack has not yet been announced, it was suggested that there might be a possibility that it will be priced higher than the normal skin packs. Previously, the game received Mass Effect and The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim skin packs.
Comparison between Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition and Minecraft PlayStation 3 Edition
Owen Hill of Mojang answered some of the questions relating to comparisons between Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition and Minecraft PlayStation 3 Edition on PlayStation Blog.
He was asked if the PlayStation Edition will have all the features that are available on the other versions of the game. "Minecraft: PS3 Edition comes with everything present in other console versions. They're pretty much identical to play, and will be developed in tandem from now on," Hill said, adding that after its release, it will also get DLC skins and texture packs from PSN. He further explained that having PlayStation specific skins will be cool but players will have to keep their fingers crossed.
Minecraft PlayStation 3 Edition will be available on PlayStation Network from 17 December. A Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition and Minecraft: PS Vita Edition is also under development.
