Mojang, the developers of Minecraft will soon be offering players with the integration of Twitch streaming, allowing them to broadcast their gameplay.
Matthew DiPietro, marketing vice president of Twitch, confirmed the addition of the steaming experience at Minecon 2013 on 2 November. "Minecraft has struck a very powerful chord with the Twitch community," he said, according to CVG.
"Its constantly escalating popularity illustrates that people love to watch video games outside of the headline grabbing eSports titles. Expect a watershed moment for both players and spectators once the ability to easily broadcast gameplay directly to Twitch goes live."
He said this functionality will be added to the game 'soon' and will be available for PC and Mac devices, allowing players to stream their games at the push of a button. Next-generation consoles like PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will have built-in Twitch compatibility.
Minecraft will be joining the league of games like Path of Exile, PlanetSide 2 and Trackmania 2 that already have Twitch streaming service.
