As the popularity of the creative building game Minecraft soared, its developer Mojang announced a new festive skin for Minecraft: Pocket Edition and Windows 10 Edition beta.
According to the figures released in January 2015, Minecraft: Pocket Edition alone sold over 30 million copies. Now, Mojang is following its tradition of giving out something new for its players for the Holidays.
The festive skin pack will not come free of cost and will be priced at $1.99.
So what to expect in the festive skin pack?
Mojang has detailed that this skin pack will have festive classics like Santa, his wife, and an elf. It will also be adding "wintery looks" that will be available throughout the winter season. It noted that both these editions will see tweaks in the character models making them look "extra cool".
Both these editions will have seen some bug fixes that will make the game better.
The developer also teased that one of the much-requested feature, maps is being developed in time for the next update.
Meanwhile, Mojang also announced the reduction of the price of Minecraft Realms and said that it is offering 30-day trials to a player who has not owned one yet.
Realms allow players to create and manage their own private Minecraft servers. The players can invite other players to their "World". The host has to pay up for the Realm and up to 10 players can play at the Realms at any one time.
It will also have mini-games and custom spawns. This is currently available only on PC Java Edition.
Minecraft Realms cost £6.99/€8.99/$9.99., but with this offer it costs £5.59/€7.19/$7.99.
