Samsung is growing its extensive smartphone portfolio by adding two more models soon. Shortly after two mid-range smartphones, Galaxy On7 and Galaxy On5, were listed on the company's official India site, Samsung China website was updated with these handsets. The Galaxy On7 and Galaxy On5 are yet to receive an official confirmation from the maker but the product listing gives us all the information we need.
As per the listing, the Galaxy On7 and the Galaxy On5 feature almost identical specs. The screen size is what differentiates them, with the Galaxy On7 packing a 5.5-inch display, while it's a smaller, 5-inch screen for the Galaxy On5. Both handsets are powered by the same 1.2GHz quad-core Exynos 3475 processor and 1.5GB RAM.
The screen resolution on both Galaxy smartphones is set at 720 x 1280 pixels and there is an 8GB onboard memory with expandable microSD card slot up to 128GB.
The details of Galaxy On7 are in-depth compared to the cryptic Galaxy On5. The bigger handset sports a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and LED flash while the front snapper has a 5MP sensor. In addition, there are two microSIM card slots for dual networks in the Galaxy On7, which also supports 4G LTE bandwidth.
Finally, the Galaxy On7 is powered by a 3,000mAh removable battery and the Galaxy On5 packs a smaller 2,600mAh unit, NDTV reports. Going by the looks of these handsets on the product page, the Galaxy On7 has a metallic outline and a faux leather back cover, which gives it a premium look.
The pricing and availability details on both devices are not yet known but the company's official confirmation will reveal it soon.
