It seems Xbox maker Microsoft is flummoxed by the launch of Sony PlayStation 4 (PS4) gaming console, as it is planning to launch its next-generation Xbox 720 gaming console in April.
UK based gaming website CVG (Computer and Video Games) has revealed that American technology giant Microsoft will showcase its gaming console, Xbox 720 at an one-off media event in early April.
Adding credibility to the above report, another gaming community website NeoGAF has revealed that the Microsoft's event management partner Eventcore (formerly known as ustechs) has registered the domain xboxevent.com on Thursday.
Just a few weeks ago, Xbox (code-named as Durango) specs were leaked to the media allegedly by hacker SuperDae A.K.A Dan Henry.

Speculations on Xbox 720 have been around for almost a year now with several tech sites coming up with creative names for Microsoft's new gaming console, like Xbox Infinity, Durango, Loop, The Next Xbox etc...
Microsoft Xbox rival Sony has confirmed that its new gaming console PlayStation 4 will hit the stores around 2013 Holiday season (Christmas), but the Redmond company can curtail the PS4's sales by releasing Xbox 720 into the market early.
