Microsoft Surface Pro has slashed its prices by $400 and is now selling at a discounted price in a deal being offered by Best Buy.
The tablet was initially priced at $899, but is now selling at just $499, reported The Verge.
The deal is for the original Surface Pro that comes with 128 GB of memory. With this offer, it looks like Best Buy wants to clear all the Surface Pros from its shelves, since there is a new one that has arrived. Surface Pro 2 was released in October 2013.
Surface Pro has a 1.3 GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU, 10.6-inch 1920 x 1080p display with 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, Wacom digitizer and stylus and 128 GB storage. Surface Pro supports Outlook, Word, SharePoint Designer, PowerPoint and more. It has built-in Wi-Fi capability and is Bluetooth 4.0 compatible. The tablet is known for its lightweight portability weighing 2lbs and measuring 0.5 inches thin.
The device also gives users Xbox Music Pass, where they can stream music on PC, tablet, Windows Phone and Xbox 360.The deal also comes with a 1-year limited hardware warranty and 90 days of complimentary tech support from Microsoft.
Surface Pro and Surface Pro 2 are too different from each other, though Surface Pro 2 is much lighter and has better battery (long-lasting) than Surface Pro, which also does not have adjustable kickstand. Apart from these features, both are otherwise similar.
This deal is reportedly available for only couple of days on the online website as well as in stores.
