Microsoft's much awaited tablet Surface Pro 4 is set to be launched in India next month.
Surface Pro 4 was originally unveiled along with Lumia 950 series smartphone and Surface Book in USA way back in October. Now, the flagship tablet will finally set foot in India.
Bhaskar Pramanik, Microsoft India region head, in an interview with NDTV Gadgets 360 has confirmed that the company will release Surface Pro in the first week of January 2016.
When asked to disclose the actual date of launch, he declined to divulge the details. Word on the street is that the company will host an event on 7 January in New Delhi to reveal price and availability details of the device. Stay tuned for more updates.
It sports a massive 12.3-inch PixelSense display with 2736x1824p resolution. Under-the-hood, it comes packed with the company's proprietary Windows 10 Pro OS, 8MP primary camera on the rear-side, 5MP HD snapper on the front and a high capacity battery where-in user watch video for close to 9 hours.
Surface Pro 4 will come in three 6th Gen Intel chip variants - Core m3, Core i5 and i7 -- with m3 Intel HD graphics 515 and i5 Intel HD graphics 520 and i7 Intel Iris GPU respectively. Based on the requirement, users can choose 4GB/8GB/16GB RAM option for system configuration.
