So much has been talked about Microsoft's upcoming device dubbed as the Lumia 940 and the Lumia 940 XL but the company is tight-lipped about it, be it its release date or features. However, that hasn't stopped people from leaking every little detail about the device.
The Microsoft Lumia 940 and the Lumia 940 XL are expected to see the light of day in the fourth quarter of this year, according to reports. It was earlier rumoured that it would be unveiled in April but that didn't happen.
Now, NokiaPowerUser has leaked the specifications of the Lumia 940 XL citing its sources. It reported that the device will sport a slim design with metallic unibody frame, have a 5.7-inch screen with 2560 x 1440 resolution display, powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 processor with Adreno 430 GPU, and come packed with 32 GB internal memory with microSD card slot and 3 GB RAM.
The report went on to claim that the device will house a 20 MP main camera with PureView, Short Pulse variable-tone LED Flash and 5 MP front snapper, and have other features like iris scanner, Native Pen support, USB Type-C & Dual-Role support, and continuum for Phones support.
It may be mentioned that the same website had earlier reported that the Lumia 940 might sport a 5.2-inch display and Lumia 940 XL a 5.7-inch screen. It went on to claim that both the models might come with 24-25 MP main camera and 5 MP or even higher MP FFC, 3D-interaction, Iris scanner and native Pen support.
Meanwhile, a report by WinFuture (via GSMArena) has claimed that the Lumia 940 would come with a design similar to the Lumia 830 with an aluminium frame and polycarbonate back. It went on to claim that the device will house a 3,000mAh battery, sport a 5.2-inch QHD screen with 1,440 x 2,560px, and could be powered by Snapdragon 808 processor, while the Lumia 940 XL version may sport a 5.7-inch screen, powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor, and house a 3,300mAh battery. Both the models are expected to come packed with 32GB internal storage and 3GB RAM.
