Specifications of the Nokia Lumia 1320 successor, Microsoft Lumia 1330, have surfaced online ahead of launch.
The technology blog, Nokia Power User, has gotten hold of the internal document containing the hardware details of the yet-to-be-released Lumia 1330.
According to the blog, the upcoming Lumia 1330 will sport a 5.7-inch HD screen, 0.3-inch smaller than its predecessor 1320, which flaunted a mammoth 6.0-inch screen. On the bright-side, the compact screen will provide richer display thanks to increase in pixel density.
Other specifications include Windows Phone 8.1 with GDR2 (General Distribution Release 2) update, 32GB inbuilt memory capacity, Snapdragon 400 series quad-core SoC (System on Chip), Adreno 305 graphics engine and 1GB RAM.
One big improvement in the Lumia 1330 is that it will house a feature-rich 14.0-megapixel PureView camera and a 5.0-megapixel snapper on the front. Lumia 1320 had very mediocre camera specifications – 5.0-megapixel rear-side camera and a VGA (0.3-megapixel) front-camera.
Except for the camera features, Lumia 1330 is a moderate upgrade over its predecessor. But, if Microsoft releases the phone with a competitive price-tag in emerging markets like India and other South Asian regions, Lumia 1330 will certainly sway price-sensitive amateur photography enthusiasts to its fold.
Word on the street is that Microsoft is expected to unveil the new Lumia 1330 at the internationally acclaimed consumer electronics trade show MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2015, Barcelona, in February.
